Di bawah ini terdapat empat kutipan yang diambil dari berbagai sumber. Empat kutipan tersebut diungkapkan dalam tiga jenis paragraf (kutipan langsung, paraphrase/kutipan tidak langsung, dan summary) dengan menggunakan kalimat topik sebagai ide besar yang mewakili kutipan-kutipan tersebut.

Graham E Fuller clearly identify that the non-Muslims criteria of moderate is believing in democracy, tolerance, a non-violent approach to politics, and equitable treatment of women at the legal and social levels. Moderate Muslim is one who shariah the key dimensions of democratic culture that include support for democracy and internationally recognized human rights (including gender equality and freedom of worship), respect for diversity, acceptance of nonsectarian sources of law, and opposition to terrorism and other illegitimate forms of violence. Moderate Muslims are those who treat all people with dignity and respect (Qur’an 17:70), has no political or normative intimidation (Qur’an 2:256). Lives an ethical life, compete in doing good, seek to encourage good and forbid evil (Qur’an 5:48 and 3:110). They believe that internalizing Islam’s message can bring about the social transformation necessary for establishing the virtuous city.
